Katori Chaat
A chatpati chaat in a crispy katori
Recipe Ingredients
- For the Katori -
- All purpose flour- 1 cup
- Lemon syrup - 3 tbsp
- Tomato Ketchup - 3 tbsp
- Pomegranate - 1/4 cup
- Coriander Chutney- 1/4 cup
- Boondi namkeen - 1/4 cup
- Curd - 1 cup
- Green chilli (optional)
- Tomato- 1
- Cucumber - 1
- For the Chaat-
- 2 Onion
- Oil to fry
- Chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil- 1 tbsp
- Semolina - 1/4 cup
- Besan - 1/2 cup
- Navratan Namkeen
Recipe Preparation
- Make a dough using the all purpose flour, besan, semolina, oil, salt and chilli powder and keep aside.
- Now chop all the vegetables and mix it with navaratan namkeen and sprinkle 1 tbsp lemon syrup on it after adding salt and chilli.
- Take a small steel katori, in the meanwhile take a deep pan and put the oil to fry and let it be heated for at least 5 minutes.
- Make a small chapati of the dough and place it on the steel katori and make holes with the help of a fork.
- Put the katori along with the steel katori and fry it until it turns golden in colour. The steel katori will get automatically separated.
- Fry all the katories and let them cool down a bit.
- Sprinkle the lemon syrup and ketchup in katori and fill it with chaat.
- Pour the beaten curd on it, green chutney, tomato ketchup, boondi and pomegranate on it.
- Serve as it is.
